ERC Sponsors Back2School Event

A pair of ERC employees stepped up last weekend to help thousands of children get ready for the upcoming school year.

Lee Woods, a recruiter in the Melbourne Office, and Cora Plummer, an employee engagement liaison, joined more than 500 other volunteers at the Back2School Event at CenterPointe Church. The event handed out backpacks, school supplies, offered free medical testing, and haircuts to children from around the region. Volunteers also handed out 300 bike helmets to kids and raffled off prizes, such as bikes and laptop computers. ERC was a Silver Sponsor at the event, Lee and Cora, along with the other volunteers, handed out more than 2,500 backpacks this year.

ERC is incredibly excited to demonstrate its commitment to the community. We take great pride in helping those in need and are grateful to our employees who give their time. The commitment shown by our employees who are engaged and driven to help those around them is astounding and truly highlights the principles that we believe make ERC a company that is driven to succeed.

Along with the backpacks and haircuts, kids were also treated to lunch and had the opportunity to jump around in bounce houses, make sand art, play carnival games, and get their faces painted.

More than 5,000 people attended the event, including members from the Brevard County School District, Palm Bay City Council, and Palm Bay Fire and Police Departments.

Silver Sponsors were given a booth at the event and had their logos included on many of the merchandise and promotional items that were handed out.
