There has been a 159% increase in remote work during the past 12 years, according to FlexJobs, a job site for remote and virtual workers. People who work from home can save as much as $4,000 per year on gas, commuting, clothing, and food costs compared to those people who must work in an office. Working remotely is a perk that means more to people than making more money. A survey of individuals conducted by Zapier.com ([The Remote Work Report by Zapier](https://zapier.com/blog/remote-work-report-by-zapier/)) revealed that 57% of employees identified the option to work from home as the most preferable perk that an employer can offer.
