ERC Honored For Its Commitment To Inclusiveness For Employees With Disabilities
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (October 31, 2018) — Enhanced Resource Centers (ERC), an international business process outsourcing (BPO) and a full-service provider for every aspect of the customer lifecycle, was recently awarded the 2018 Inclusive Good Practices Seal by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the National Council on Disability (CONADIS) for its facility in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
ERC received the 2018 Inclusive Good Practices Seal due to its continued commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities for people with disabilities as one of its central corporate philosophies. The company believes that including workers with disabilities within the organization has an overall positive impact by promoting teamwork, allowing greater commitment to the values that drive social development, and educating employees on how to be more inclusive and accept diversity.
Commenting on the news, José Nelton González, Executive Vice President at ERC in Santo Domingo stated, “We are honored to be recognized by the UNDP and CONADIS for our commitment to creating a positive work environment where everyone can expand their skills and develop their professional careers, regardless of their physical limitations.”
ERC’s inclusion plan was created by a dedicated team from its Human Resources and Health and Safety departments. This team works toward promoting the professional and technical development for ERC employees with disabilities. Magino Corporán, Director of CONADIS, echoed González’s statement, adding “We urge companies to continue taking steps that lead to more fair, inclusive, and accessible practices for people with disabilities and their families.”
The Inclusive Good Practices Seal was created in 2017 to commemorate the National and International Day of People with Disabilities. It recognizes companies that have made concerted efforts toward the full inclusion of people with disabilities and their families, as well as adhering to the national and international regulations that protect the rights of people with disabilities.
